Today I will be talking my opinion on ‘’Touching Spirit Bear’’ and what I like about it, the big thing I like about this book is Cole I like watching him change over time and how he keeps changing. Like at the start of the book he was just this kid who didn’t have any respect for anyone I mean he smashed a kids skull onto the ground and not caring that it has given him permanent brain damage and not caring at all about his actions and what kind of affects they have to other people and then he gets a second chance to make things right and instead he gets himself in a near death situation. By trying to take on a bear, which in his mind is a coward but I beat at that time the bear had more honor and pride then Cole had ever, have to other people or himself
And only then after a giant bear attacks him does Cole realize that he just can’t blame other people for his own actions (I think Cole was using his father beating him up as a excuse for what he did, but don’t get me wrong I think Cole’s father never should have hit him) but after he had to get mauled by a bear eat his own vomit and see baby dead birds does Cole realize that he can’t blame other people for his own actions and after that he kept changing he told himself that he would not lie anymore he wanted another chance at the island because he wanted to make it right. So I just think its fun to watch Cole become a better person and learn!
What you see in the picture below is a spirit bear and the spirit bear can represents lots of different things. But in this picture it shows things that have meaning to me maybe if you had a spirit bear it would represent soccer or basketball or other sports that make you happy or maybe you're spirit bear has artwork on it showing you love to draw or paint. But that could be you're spirit bear but my spirit bear represents things that have big impacts in my life the first thing you see on my spirit bear in a symbol that kind of looks like a metal. Well it's not that symbol represents my birth I was born in May so my horoscope in Tarurus and that symbol represents Tarurus and I bet if I was born in a different month this blog would be very different! A big thing on my spirit bear and the most colorful one my spirit bear is a dinosaur (my favorite type of dinosaur) and the reason this is on my spirit bear is every since I was young I loved dinosaurs and I still think they are a really big part of my life. But mostly that pict represents my love for nature, yes maybe it is just a dinosaur but it means so much more! Nature has had such a impact on my life and is still going to when I get older. On the bottom of my spirit bear you will see to weird looking faces those faces are from Creepypastas and if you don't know what a CreepyPasta it is a story about a mythical monster or a serial killer whatever it is they will always creep you out and thats why I love them I like being scared and those two I have drawn are two of my favorite creepy pastas the last thing on my spirit bear is a picture of some monster. But this monster is from a T.V show I watch and that is what that monster represents, T.V I know some people say T.V is bad but is have taught me so much (I know that sounds kind of dumb) but I have watched so many different shows that teach my about things that I love like nature. That is all that is on my spirit bear but there is so much more. So if you had to make a spirit bear what would you have to represent you ?
Hey! Teachers from the Kalamak Indian Residential School guess what, there is more then one-way to teach kids! LIKE NOT HITTING THEM WITH A BELT that is just one example of another way of teaching kids. I know it was a little different back then and you COULD hit kids with blunt objects and not be sent to prison. But now a day’s you can’t cause that would be child abuse! But I say again it was a little different back then but maybe instead of hitting them you could give them a time out or sit in the corner. Or at least something that does not involve physically touching them. But hey this is just a idea and maybe instead of forcing them to learn you’re ways maybe you could teach them parts of you’re culture and let them keep parts of their culture. Because every one should be able to believe in what they want to believe in, oh and maybe you could call the students by their real names not numbers. Like how would you feel if I started to call you 66 instead of a teacher? You probably wouldn’t like it that much now would you and maybe you could give the children REAL food not just leftovers and Earth Worm soup. But this is just a idea so you CAN keeping teaching the way you do. But I don’t recommend it because if you end up being in a book. Not a lot of people are going to like you! :)
When I first came here I was never that good at soccer, basketball, and more sports but I had friends too help me and teach me the proper rules and ways to play sports like soccer and basketball and over the three years I have been here at Clayton I have gotten a lot better then I did when I was first here in Grade five! So my goal in Grade five was to get better at sports and I have reached my goal over the years and I will keep getting better at my goal each year because of my friends who helped me out from the start!
So.....you want to reach me? You want to climb inside my brain? Well...very,easy,just teach to these key points.I love reptiles! All reptiles Link your teaching to reptiles/dinosaurs and i will be sugar to your tea (unless you don't like sugar in you're tea) ! I also like insects and every thing that crawls and link music to my learning and my brain will being running like a well tuned guitar. You want to reach me? You can long as you link teaching to these points!
